Remembering Mary

Video can convey meaning in a story unlike just about anything. Which is why I created a memorial video dedicated to my late mother for use at the visitation back on Jan. 5, 2019. I’ve done three of these previously and found them to be very cathartic.

One of the opening images of this video, showing Mom as a toddler in a snowsuit, was a gift from Mom. We found the photograph in her nightstand about an hour after she died. It is the first image I’ve seen of her younger than 16.

“Memories are time that you borrow, to spend when
you get to tomorrow.”

  1. The video was very nice and you composed it excellent. I never knew your mother and only knew your dad when they would come to visit with Carl and Ruby. Time passes too fast. Once again you have my deepest sympathy. Shirley

  2. I’m very sorry to learn about your mother’s passing. This is a wonderful tribute you have put together. How amazing and what a treasure it is to have the video footage. I’m sure this compilation will be appreciated by many of your family members for years to come.
